rawcuriosity asked: In all the books and essays I've read and, of course, in her own works, the last way I'd describe Plath was laid-back. In the best sense (her ambition, her talent, her sexual self-confidence and identity as a woman) and the worst (her depression, her manic behavior), she did everything full-tilt. I don't know that she allowed herself to relax (in her mind particularly), unfortunately.
